    : Dream Chaser On Wheels On The Road To Become An Inline Speed Skater Building Main February 28, 2012 Traded Skates For Running Shoes Our original plan to skate among bike drafts at Tour De Broward fell through on Sunday . We woke up to a fine mist of rain which only gotten heavier as our cars approached the race course . Luckily , the course was dried if a bit humid and my friends proceeded to suit up for the 100km tour . I wasn’t so optimistic . With the other 50km skaters bailing out , I did not have the confidence to complete the tour among unfamiliar bike drafts . My back up plan was to switch over to the running event so at least I got my registration money’s . worth The misty rain gradually became more persistent . Just as I finished changing into a set of variable condition wheels

    : Dream Chaser On Wheels On The Road To Become An Inline Speed Skater Asphalt , Its Been A Long Time Main February 25, 2012 Building Today our training took us to the open roads of Virginia Key and I finally got a a better sense of the current state of my outdoor conditioning . With a mix of pack skating , bike pacing , climbing , and descending on pavement of varying quality , this is as close to a test as I can ask for . Just as I expected , the duration of my race pace is limited . I have some ways to go before I can complete a marathon at race pace with accelerations thrown in . However , there are also some useful feedback that I got from training . today I lost my knack to climb efficiently but even just forcing my way to crest the climb , my fitness was enough to carry me through

Last Saturday BF and I took advantage of the warm” weather in DC and had an enjoyable” afternoon . Why so many quotation marks Warm is such a relative term . I was still bundled up in thermal leggings and gloves and two layers of long-sleeve tops . But definitely warm compared to weather back home . Enjoyable is also a misnomer .
